To enroll in the Program families will take three steps.
All students interested in being part of the Lincoln Theatre program are required to attend the mandatory Information Student Meeting on:
Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the Auditorium.
They will be presented with the program; they will learn about the commitment it requires and how it must balance with their academics.
Students will us their Chromebooks to sign in and receive a link to the electronic Program Application.
Parents are welcome to attend too. Those who cannot will receive a link to the recorded meeting if their child attended.
Students and families should get familiar with the Program Handbook (download link below). It will help them decide whether or not, as a family, they can commit to a five-month musical production with a heavy schedule in January.
Lastly, once the decision to apply for the program has been made, families will fill out the Electronic Program Application. It will only be sent to students who attended the Information Meeting.
The Lincoln Theatre program typically receives more applications than available spots. As much as we wish we could enroll everyone who applies, this is not feasible for various reasons, including supervision, security, and budget.
The enrollment process has been collegially decided by the Production Team, the School Administration, and the PTSA. Applications are reviewed by all parties.
There are 85 spots available in three different classes:
60 in Performance
5 in Stage Management
20 in Tech and Design
If you need support submitting the electronic Program Application, or if you have a student with neurodiverse needs that would like to be a part of the program and may require support or modifications, please contact Assistant Principal Darci Keleher at dkeleher@smmusd.org
The application to the program is done online. The link will be sent to the students who attended the mandatory Information Student Meeting. Parents/Guardians need to fill out, and submit the application with their student(s).
